I'm not jinxing myself and saying it's fixed yet, but the coolant temp sensor connector was definitely not even making contact with the sensor itself. Spliced in a new one and all seems to be well so far... It's still throwing o2 sensor codes, but I'm aware of that problem. Next is to fix the interm...

Tested first for continuity from one of the wires to pin 31 on the a connector. Beeeeeep. Ok good. Sprayed some wd40 on it. Put it all back together, 5v. Great. I should clarify, this problem is why I took it to him. He said it was either the wiring for the sensor or the ecu itself. To save money, I told him I'd take care of it. This is a brand new volvo genuine sensor and the one I had in it was just replaced like a month ago, I doubt both sensors were bad...

OK, I finally had a chance to work on it.

I'm getting 0v from the ground wire and .02 at the most from the other wire for the ECT sensor. It went up to .03 when I revved the engine.

What does that point towards as a culprit...the ecm itself?
