Tried both your suggestions and still nothing.

The thing I find odd is that the low beam out warning continually flashes on and off in the dash but the headlights never blink or anything.

One on the low beam bulbs on my 2002 S60 AWD was burnt out so I bought a new set and replaced them both. Turned the ignition on and made sure they both light up and they do. The Bulb is out for the Temperature gauge on my 2002 S60. I'm pretty sure the Bulb type is T5 but I would like to double check before ordering replacements.

You need about 12 Quarts to do a complete flush, there are guides posted on this site.

You should also look into the B4 Servo Cover...
