Re: Code Errors after Timing belt change ---Are they related
Thanks Rmmagow for your ideas and feedback. I would like to have your mechanic's phone number. The 3 locations are not convenient for me at all since I live in Malden MA. But I need to unclog the breather box so I will use one of them. May be if I go there for the day, I can manage. But I cant leave...

Re: Code Errors after Timing belt change ---Are they related
Our engines are interference type, and timing is critical. I think that if your timing is off, the offset is going to be off by just one tooth. Anything greater than that would be difficult to imagine (that is probably why your Mech said 'that the engine would not run with incorrect timing' -- he h...

Re: Code Errors after Timing belt change ---Are they related
Thanks Chrism, Mike and Regent for replies. I actually stopped by his shop Friday when he was leaving and he told me to come back Monday. He told him that my timing belt was not done properly. He told me that the car would not run if the timing belt was not done correctly. You all know that it's not...

Re: Code Errors after Timing belt change ---Are they related
Thanks micah861 for taking the time to reply. You He also changed my transmisson at the same time. He promised to clean the breather box while doing both jobs, but when I got my car back he said he couldnt do it because it was not in the same area (he promised me that he would do it). Code Errors after Timing belt change ---Are they related?
Hi, I changed my timing belt at 153K and the next day I drove my car, I got 'multiple misfire cylinders' to whom the mechanic said that he didn't know. Later, I got codes: P1332 (CVVT Solenoid) and P0335 (crankshaft position sensor A circuit). The timing belt was done in November. I picked up my car...

Re: Car does not respond when I press gas (sometimes....))
It really sounds like your throttle is bad. Even if the dealer has cleaned it and reinstalled it, they often don't work, and will result in very similar symptoms to what you are having. I got a unit from Xemodex (http://www.xemodex.com/) and it has worked like a charm after my throttle failed. They...

Re: Car does not respond when I press gas (sometimes....))
Perhaps someone can chime in and guide you to an independent Volvo repair shop in your area. I am assuming you can get to drive to a shop. Sounds like you need all the codes to be cleared although I think this might happen when you disconnect and leave battery disconnected for a period of time say ...

Re: Car does not respond when I press gas (sometimes....))
Hi again, This morning, I wanted to see if my car would respond. It started rough hesitating (not starter but engine area ---shaking) with the battery sign (EL-power system message). I used to get rid of the message by pressing gas but now, the car does not respond to the gas pedal Then I disconnect...
