I'm trying to think to all the places I've had the oil changed now.... I sure hope this is the case for me because $4k for a new engine is more than I think my car is even worth

Did the new TCM fix your issue? I'm having the same problem, but with a '99 S70, and don't look forward to shelling out ~$1300 to fix it.... So far I've tried replacing the O2 sensors and cleaning the MAF.
