Well the main bearing closest to the oil pump was dry. I greased all main bearings, reassembled and it started up easy. Ran for 3-4 min. rough so stopped and started to adjust. Trying to free up my daughters 2001 S40. Currently have the starter and oil pan off, all appears intact with no metal in the pan. Can only move the crank shaft in the counterclockwise direction, which I have done several revolutions with no signs of damage. Could the main bearing be damaged?
