Thanks for a very helpful post. I was haunted by this problem in my 1998 XC70 AWD (but my brother totalled that car, thus solving the issue). Just bought a 2000 XC70 AWD SE a couple of months ago, and was not surprised when ABS and TRACS lights starting lighting up intermittently. Staring at a $1000...
