Re: when buying a used ETM what will work without a reprogram?
About one in four, chances are far greater if both vehicles have been back to the dealer post 2006 for software update.

Re: 08 xc90 lost canbus? Topic is solved
Not really a bonus then, those front mounted computers can have very delicate connector tabs that break off easily. I suggest pulling them when warm. Have you tried removing TCM connectors and spraying connectors with contact cleaner? At this age and with extreme changes in climate (floods, then war...

Re: 08 xc90 lost canbus? Topic is solved
You'll need a ECM/TCM removal tool or work on the pink sliders under the computers by removing the plastic case.
First get the software numbers off the TCM before it turns into a 100% failure

Re: What was your car that got away?
1974 Chrysler (Dodge) Galant hardtop. I had converted it to a 2.6L Mitsubishi Astron with a 5 speed manual box. It weighed less than 900kg I had converted it to run face vents from a modified Lancer hatch console and switch gear (turn signals and wipers) were on one stalk from a later model. Quad he...

Re: 08 xc90 lost canbus? Topic is solved
If you can get the fault to disappear long enough to investigate the 2 software part numbers on the TCM in Network, you can then swap in another TCM and either have it reprogrammed by Yagger OR it may well match if from the same model year and engine type. TCMs are available at yards; could be worth...

Re: 99 v70xc transmission swap
I put a 850 transmission into a 1999 NA V70 a few years back. Apart from the gear selector thing on top of the transmission (the item the cable goes into) and swapping the speed sensors and PNP they are identical and there's no need to swap TCM software or modules. The compatability question is more...

Re: What's wrong with my 2001 S60 t5 - Anyone in zip 97206?
I had a beautiful V70 2001 T5 wagon sorry to say but NO companies doing ABS module refurbishment for this year; not even XeModex. New ABS controllers about $1,000USD. Used controllers had the same codes for me and the 2 yaw sensors in the cabin for DSTC no longer in production. Try BBS remanufacturi...

Re: Coronavirus Thread
I've been using this website to track world trends. It's a privately managed site, however I think it reflects the WHO figures https://covid19info.live Interesting that most of the countries with unmanageable infection spikes are also the ones who were late in catching on about shutting down non-ess...

Re: Unable to get Vida into Control Module Adaption
Enter the VIN in manually then select vehicle options. You can't do any diagnostic work on Vida without pointing to a VIN.
