Re: V70 2002 Right Hand Drive 02 sensor location

You can't get a lot more reliable than this: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products?utf8=✓ ... ds=8627599

I always thought these non turbos ran Denso sensors. Yours must be a 2003MY due to a late 2002 date build perhaps as late as September.

Re: Help me solve 2 problems on my P2 V70 D5

There is a rear body controller behind a LHS panel in the cargo bay that controls rear window operation. Have you checked fuses on this controller? The controllers can go bad and just take out a single function. On our XC90 the rear controller took out the rear hatch unlock pulse, but the lock pulse...

Re: 2004 C70 coolant leak

Did you notice the spark when he re-connects the negative battery terminal. A sign he had ignition on PosII which is correct procedure for P2 battery connection. He is a pro!!

These Stant thermostats are 194 degF and are Wahler OEM.

Re: 2004 C70 coolant leak

Definitely check for combustion gases!

The transmission dipstick hole is both the checker and filler of transmission. It's buried well under the lower radiator hose and is a small yellow stump.

Which engine is fitted? Turbo or non? 100psi for a non turbo is almost a dead slug.

Re: Tell me about the 2000 S70

If non turbo very reliable. Engine PCV on non turbo 2000 cars is liquid cooled. They run Denso engine management just like Toyotas. I ran a high mileage 2000 V70 for 100,000km and apart from routine stuff expected at this mileage (suspension rebuild and new radiator) the car was never towed for any ...

Re: 2004 V70 Turbo Coolant Hoses question

The trick to replacement is to lubricate internals of new hose with something like WD40 so you can slide it well over the barb and then back onto the 2nd side again fighting friction with WD40 on the other end of it. I haven't had any of them leak but I replaced it with standard heater hose made by ...

Re: Radiator Cooling Fan Won't Turn Off (2010 Volvo XC60 T6)

You can separately power the fans with a 12V source to test them while disconnected from the fan module. The presence or otherwise of small sparks is hardly a conclusive diagnosis as the issue may be that a foreign object is lodged behind the fan preventing it from turning. The whole assembly is rel...

Re: PCV replacement on 05 xc70

I always thought the "updated" banjo bolt was straight through in design due to that ball dislodging and going into the intake manifold and into a combustion chamber or have I got it wrong?

Re: 2003 S60 AWD Overheating, fan a no go and stalling

Use a heat gun or a very good hair dryer to heat the hose; it will slip right off :-)

The torx screws on the MAF is a 5 point security torx instead of the regular 6 point. You can just Dremel a slot into the head and use a flat blade.
