Welp that solves that issue... On my To do list buy a new maf, second see tackle the Po243 and the Evap crap. Hopefully things will pan out for this car I really love it.

thank you, I removed the MAF just to see if performance would change and I don't have no more hesitation or sluggishness. My question is could the MAF be bad and still not throw a code?

OK, as stated I have an 1998 Volvo xc/v70. I purchased it used with 120k on her. My check engine light is on and pulled the following codes P0171, P0243, and p04550.
