I went with ABM projectors for my C70. I love them....best $350 I've spent on the car, and a huge improvement in night driving.

Definitely glass with defrost originally. As far as clearing the plastic up, I would block sand it with 1500 grit, then 2000 grit. Polish with an orbital polisher, using good plastic polish.
As far as reattaching, I don't know. Aren't the plastic ones sewn in?

They are NOT the same thing. Your calipers will not fit, at least properly, if you get the wrong ones.

I can speak first hand how cheaping out on spring seats can cause you to have to do the job again. I just put new Sachs XC90 seats on my C70 after going cheap about 14 mos ago. I think I "saved" all of about $12 on the first pair (not my brightest move). I'm glad I don't have to pay myself...

I think they both looked the same but that is also what I was thinking. Maybe since the old glass was cracked, too much moisture got in there and ruined the reflective finish, to some extent.
