I was concerned about the calipers, as this is my daily driver and I didn't want to have it down while I ordered caliper(s), but each compressed just fine on both sides. Soooo, they're ok, right?

Plus one on the parking brake shoes. Just went through that - really loud bang - thought I'd broken a suspension part. Does your hand brake lever feel different? Any difference in brake grip? Both, along with the noise you experienced would be indicators of shoe delamination.

Yep, last two replies nailed it. Fuel pump relay was replaced, and car runs fine. Wish the timing of breakdown/replies etc. had been better, as I had to shell out for tow and mechanic....just had to get mobile again, and in a hurry.
