Well I cleaned out my PCV system. Had to take off the intake manifold to do the job. It is not hard at all to take it off. just get a new gasket and the torque specs. After all was cleaned out I had the volvo dealer test it and they said it is working fine.

Thanks, I was just going to clean it up with some kerosene and throw it back in.

I am cleaning out my PCV system right now as it is plugged up. I have read where people replace the oil trap. My question is does it really need to be replaced. It appears to be just a plastic box where collected oil is allowed to drain back into the crank case. Is there any reason for it to be repl...
