Re: What are these pictures of in my XC90 engine compartment?

Fuel pressure sensor connector but the fuel rail does not have the provision for a FPS. That fuel rail has the fuel pressure test port where the open end should be for insertion/attachment of FPS. Is your check light on? There should be a STC for open sircuit to the fuel pressure sensor, probably tw...

Re: How reliable is the Volvo V70? (2004-2007)

There is something fishy with US motor oils. Many issues we see on US operated models of many makes are very rare to occur in EU. Indy shops for VW, Benz, BMW push the Euro sourced oils like Motul due to seeing less sludge with its use. Of course, more frequent oil changes offset most, maybe all, of...

The OE RTV is hard curing and gray. Use the Pernatex 82194 ultra grey rigid.

Re: Just got an 07 C70 with a broken roof... How do you manually lock all the pieces of the roof? Topic is solved

The headliner sides on the midsection cover the front lift/lock cylinders. At the front you will see the end of those cylinders have a skeleton key hole shape. Push those to the rear. They engage and push a lock pawl for back end of front section and a rod goes to the rear of panel into a bracket an...

That top system is designed to close when it won't open. The override doesn't happen unless you depress brake pedal and then hold the switch in close position for over 10 seconds. If you let go of switch it takes another 10 second before it goes again. Latching those latches did some of the latching...

Re: Keyless so clueless 2013 OBD2

Don't depress brake pedal when you push and hold the start button for 3 seconds and you will be run position without engine running (KOEO). Then use a generic scan too in OBD2 connector. I think that is what you are asking.

Re: 2004 S60 R radiator cooling fan Topic is solved

When the fan runs for a/c I hear it as it runs on 33% or more usually. When I have car idling without a/c on I rarely can hear the fan, I will have hood open and suddenly feel hot air and then look and the fan will be running very slow and silent. Also as a point of reference, if you leave the cap o...

Re: 2005 XC 90 4.4 V8 non turbo auto

The balance shaft bearing issue is a big deal and worth an inspection by someone familiar with Volvo V8s. The problem has a remedy by removing upper intake and drilling the drain hole that 2006 and later have with a long drill bit. It is not a big job but the drilling only goes 1/4 inch to go into a...

Re: 2005 XC70 Alternator Replacement Help

Remove the intercooler hose in front of alternator. The clamps use 7mm heads and a 1/4 drive 7mm swivel socket with a longer (9 " or more) is the best tool to get it. Remove serpentine belt. If you pry off the cap in enter of the tensioner pulley it will reveal the 15mm bolt and a 3/8 12 point 15 mm...
