Re: Help with pulled codes

Only modules are on the canbus. The bulbs on that car are function checked by current draw and filament integrity. LEDs draw the wrong current and have the wrong resistance unless they ar the bulbs with integral resistors. The resistor can fix the integrity issue. I have installed LEDs inside on 99-...

Re: Possible connector issue

The Bosch ETA on that car is VERY sensitive to connections. Volvo techs do not unplug them when doing work on cars, they unbolt throttle and set it aside due to the incidence of comebacks for throttle codes and reduced engine performance message. There is a throttle pigtail sold by Volvo and they di...

Re: Help with pulled codes

I typed a long reply and hit submit earlier today so where is it???? The O2 sensor code is very unlikely to be fixed with a sensor. Sensor heater elements burn out and don't heal themselves. If it was a current problem the MIL woould be on. It could be a connector issue or the key was on and someone...

Re: Help needed with code indentification

Most of those are what tech call ghosts codes. If battery was weak or key left on many of this will occur. The ICM goes down when battery get low and CEM notices the "dropped call". The lamp ones may be due to installation of LED bulbs as my cars with LEDs installed in interior or exterior positions...

Re: warm interior

NO, do not put two filters in it. It will choke the blower. There is a thicker charcoal impregnated, more expensive filter that fits if you knock out the divider.

for the original poster: what is the vent discharge temp?

Re: Cannot select Satellite Radio SAT1 or SAT2

I replaced mine with used and I had to call Sirius with the ID number that came up in the menu for sat radio. Your service is associated with a number in the old unit and they don't know the new one.

Re: Height adjustment stop- rear passenger window?

If the procedure above fails to change the stop point then you may need to clear it. In many cases on P1 models the calibration set process will not occur unless there are no set points in the LDM or RDM memory. Find the fuse for the rear door window you need to calibrate in the owner's manual. Have...

Re: Ford power steering fluid?

For most people the fluid used would not make any difference. When 960s came out there were some noise complaints about thump on full lock turns. When the 1995 960 front suspension revision occurred it was a LOT worse. Larger hoses, smaller hoses, restrictors, spacers to keep the cooler loop from ra...

Re: Excessive blow by with good compression?

When the rings fail and lose effectiveness you can get combustion deposits that raise compression test pressure and the oiling of rings also improves the sealing. Both of these have no effect on the rings actually leaking compression and increasing crankcase gas volume. Compression test is only one ...

Re: 1999 S80 cranks but doesn't start, Brake failure, Stop ASAP

The temps are a fictional value calculated from ambient and increased for time brakes are on and reduced for time off brakes. No temp sensors are used. Ignore this, as it is a symptom of the network issue keeping ABS module from knowing ambient temp. There is likely a network wire issue. If you move...
