Is it possible that what I have is an S70 side mirror? That lower profile more rectangular shape might be more S70 that XC70. And would explain.

mismatched driver side mirror XC70 2014. what years are what?
I recently got clipped by a truck. Took the light and the cover off the driver's side mirror. Glass is still there, and the motor still works, but no cover, and no side light. I bought a replacement on eBay that was sold as 2008-2016. What I received was more rectangular that the 2014 one I have (lo...

2008 XC70 Tailgate Will Not Open
Just-purchased used 2008 XC70, 116k miles. Not totally sure if it's a powered tailgate but I think it is. Yesterday in rainy freezing conditions struggled to get the tailgate to close. Today will not open. Pressing the fob or dash button gives a soft clicking sound, but gate will not open. So whatev...

Volvo 240 headlights don't turn off with ignition
For all the years (nearly 20) and all the 240s I've owned (5 between me and my wife) I've always left the headlight switch (dash left of wheel) in the ON position. Like poor-man's daytime running lights, it means that the lights are on when the car is on. When it's off, they're off. Never had a prob...

Re: 01 V70 ABS Failure: Module NOT the problem! help?
UPDATE and another ISSUE. Spent the day in the shop. Thanks to a friend I had access to a lift and a warm shop! Replaced pads and rotors all around. Front brake hoses were cracked and dodgy, so I replaced them as well. Replaced ABS pump and module with identical unit from Erie Volvo. Bled the entire...

Going to replace the ABS pump (01 V70). How to do it?
Reached the end of all the tests I can think of. Ordered up a used ABS pump assembly. Includes module and is guaranteed to work. $150 from Erie Volvo. I'm going to tackle replacing the ABS pump and while I'm at it I'll do pads and rotors all around and flush and replace brake fluid. The pads and rot...

Re: 01 V70 ABS Failure: Module NOT the problem! help?
Thanks for the additional thoughts here, folks. I'm still in the thick of the problem. Here's my plan. I have replaced the module with a rebuilt one from BBA reman. That made no difference. My next plan is to replace rear pads (and clean up ABS sensors) and pads and rotors on front. This is, by many...

Re: how to tell bad rear coil springs
For what it's worth, I'd just change them. As long as you're doing the shocks you can replace them with the heavier duty ones offered by IPD. I did that in my 240 since I tend to carry heavy stuff frequently. Used to have trouble with wheel well rub when I was heavily laden. Now it never happens. La...

Re: 01 V70 ABS Failure: Module NOT the problem! help?
OK, here's an update. Problem still exists. Bought a remanufactured ABS unit from BBA Reman in Taunton, Mass. That's a known good unit. Same exact part number. I now owe them my unit as a core. Did the changeover (I can now do it in about 9 minutes.) NO CHANGE! Even with the re-built computer I stil...

Re: 01 V70 ABS Failure: Module NOT the problem! help?
OK, folks. I've been working with Matty Moo on this, and as has been said elsewhere he's a real stand-up guy. He's sent me two computers to try to sort this problem. I have now installed three different computers, including: #1. The original, which both Matt and I have resoldered. #2. An AWD version...
