Re: premature brake master cylinder failure
If it is a rebuilt part i would say it failed. I doubt the brake fluid is to blame. It was new part, or at least it was sold as one. I think the Ate part just sucked. I ordered one from Erie Parts. $50 and I was told if it ever failed, they would send me another. I was doubtful that it was the brak...

Re: premature brake master cylinder failure
Just a quick update - FCPgroton is not standing by their parts. I was told "it is more than a year, there is nothing I can do for you."

premature brake master cylinder failure
My 2001 V70 has 124K miles on it. In May of 2011, at 109k miles, I replaced the brake master cylinder and shortly afterwards, the brake booster. The brake pedal has started to sink to the floor again when stopped, and the reservoir is still full. Looks like my master cylinder is fried again. Any ide...

Re: Intermittent overheating problems
It was the cooling fan. Vadis did not have a history of what happened when the car over-heated, but it did show that the cooling fan signal was absent. I got one from FCP and installed it. The car is running normally now.

Re: Intermittent overheating problems
I just made an appointment with the dealer. That recall was, unfortunately, already done on my car. I'll let you know what they come up with.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Intermittent overheating problems
Thanks! I'll bring it to the dealer and have them diagnose it. I had been hoping to avoid that, but I guess it will be money well spent.

Intermittent overheating problems
I have a 2001 V70 T3 and it has been having some trouble with overheating. It began with A/C problems - my wife complained that the A/C would occasionally shut itself off. Last week, on a 95 degree day, with three kids and an ice cream cake in the car, the A/C stopped working completely. I was stuck...

Re: Upper Motor Mount: Square or Round?
Which part that attaches to the engine? From what I could tell, the mount is one piece that bolts to the top of the engine. Is that correct? I was worried that the square one was wider and might need a different top bracket, but maybe I was worried about the wrong side...

Upper Motor Mount: Square or Round?
The upper motor mount on my 2001 needs replacement. It has the older style round mount. IPD sells both the round and the square style for that car. (I don't want the poly one - I'm a very mellow driver. :) ) Any suggestions on which one I should get? Do I need to modify anything if I install the squ...

Power steering leak questions
Just opened the hood and noticed signs of leaking around my power steering pump. Sure enough, the reservoir was low and almost empty. I stopped at the local Autozone and bought some power steering fluid to top it off (which I'm now reading might not have been the right fluid). Questions: Does anyone...
