It was the check valve. I got ride of the vehicle shortly after due to numerous other problems

I don't have the correct size socket wrench to get off the second bolt. What did you do to get the last bolt off?

I had a 2003 xc90 and had to replace the vacuum pump, it was fairly straight-forward to do.

I also have a 2007 xc90 which has recently been leaking oil and the culprit is the vacuum pump accordingly to the dealer. In the 07 the vacuum pump is attached to the engine (http://www ...

As luck with not have it, I have to replace the vacuum pump on my 2007 XC90. Are there any differences in swapping this out as compared to earlier versions? Any tips?

I'm having trouble finding the tranny dip stick?

In the mean time, before you fix it, I used a twistie tie to tie down the switch.
