Re: VIDA 2014D Communication Tool Error

yep, I know this is the normal issue.
But its not my issue.

I'm going to attempt to re-format my machine and start again.
I have a feeling Windows updates have caused something that it doesnt like.

Re: VIDA 2014D Communication Tool Error

Thanks for the suggestion,
What's worked for you seems to be a rather common issue.
I've got the registry entry there, but still no dice. (pun intended)

Radiator fan not coming on with AC

Hi All,
Fringle, my '94 855 is having some AC troubles.
AC is generally working well, but for some reason the radiator fan is not turning on when the AC is turned on.

Am I right in thinking this should come on all the time ?
I've seen some posts about people saying sub 32F the fans dont come on ...

Re: 1996 850 Turbo Head Gasket Replacement

Sounds like you're getting it together well.
I've just got my 850 wagon back on the road after replacing the head.
I used some clamps to try and hold the cam cover down while doing up all the bolts.
If you can build or get access to the proper tools it would be much easier/less stressful.

I'm keen ...

2004 V70R Wont start after CVVT hub replacement

Hi Guys,
I've spent a lot of time today helping a friend with his V70R.
We've replaced his CVVT hubs as they had excessive play.

After replacing them and trying to follow the confusing instructions in VIDA we can't get the car to start.
We tried using 2 methods of setting the timing, 1st was ...

Re: 1995 850T How long do the 95 trannys last?

I just flushed the tranny on my '94 850 T5 at 270,000km (~165kmiles)
The old stuff was chocolatey brown. (no idea if it had ever been done before)

I had an issues where it would thump rather hard into reverse, forwards shifting was fine.
Now the thump is much better, still need to get some more k's ...

Re: 850 1996 Radiator Cooling Fan Will not come on at al

The temp sensor died in my 850 causing the fan to not operate. The gauge showed fine until it got a bit over half way, they dropped to cold.

You can unplug the temp sensor and this should cause the fan to run at full speed and stay on after the cur is turned off.

It's a nice quick easy test.
