Re: s70 muffler removal/installation

no mine is shot, there's a hole in it.Our roads are salted here during winter :(
It was almost removed . It's just that I can't twist it 90 degree to finish the job.

s70 muffler removal/installation

Hi everybody, it's been a long time but I'm still alive ! I have to change my muffler as it's becoming a little bit noisy. The filter itself, when new, can smell like that.

Re: S70 RPM dipping too low when stopping.

I had the same problem lately, I tried to clean the MAF like you did but idle was still dropping while stopping. I changed the MAF and no more problem. I had a check engine light coming on and off also (p1171).I had around 90 000 miles on it. A lot of people here had problems with their MAF, by chan...

Re: XeMODeX ETM validation is POSITIVE

Hi Don, My car has its original ETM and as 100 000 miles and still count. I don't know if I will benefit of a free ETM before september but I know that sooner or later it will fail. I'm tempted by the xemodex solution but i'm a bit sceptic. First thing, on their site they say that they will install ...

Re: IGNITION SWITCH HELP PLEASE 1998 V70

Glad you made it, it's something that shouldn't break in normal condition, shame on Volvo.
BTW,360$ usd is very a very high price, I paid 225$Cdn made to match my key.

anyway you saved a lot of money by doing it yourself.

Sorry I didn't see your post before today,

Alain.

Re: Ignition key spinning at start

Just put in a new ignition lock cylinder. Paid $285 for the part at the dealership, only place you can get this part. They wanted an additional $260 for labor, so I decided to do it myself. All went well. Took me about 3 hours, not that hard...just follow step by step directions that are posted on ...

Re: Replaced battery and now the engine runs rough

Everytime you disconnect the battery, the computer resets itself and it has to relearn your engine behavior particularly on idle because it is the reason of being of the throttle body. It will run smoother after a few hours.

Re: Ignition key spinning at start

Ignition cylinder? Not ignition switch? The ignition cylinder fix referred to an ignition stuck in position I, with a new key along with the ignition cylinder. Hoping I don't need to buy all of that. Are you saying that the ignition switch will not solve my problem? Sometimes it spins 360 deg or it...
