I have a 2004 S40 and it groans when I brake and then again when I start up. Does that seem like loading and unloading of the front struts? If so, are there any suggestions on brands (OEM or otherwise)? Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the advice. I picked up a 12 dollar part and both wipers for 20 dollars and just fixed them. I guess for the wipers getting stuck periodically, I'll take your advice and just leave them. The handle for my rear seat fold down latch broke. I can't find a way to release the latch to replace it. Has anyone done this before?
