Re: 2002 S60 OBD Comprehensive Component Not Ready

Thanks Jimmy. The evaporative system reported a READY status so if that's where tank leakage is measured i'd guess that's what would fail. I don't see any indication of tank leakage, not that i necessarily would, but i did fill the tank about a half hour before the test. Could that be a factor? [aga...

2002 S60 OBD Comprehensive Component Not Ready

I need some help deciphering OBD speak and figuring out my next step. My 2002 S60, base model with 183000 miles, failed NJ Inspection apparently owing to the OBD Comprehensive Component reporting a ‘NOT READY’ Status. The other listed OBD items (full list below) reported a status of ‘READY’ or ‘UNSU...

Re: trouble isolating short circuit 2002 s60

Thanks jimmy57. i'll try the suggestions you gave. where on the site is the wiring diagram? i didn't monitor the ameter for 10 min and mostly used a test light, easier, to see if current is flowing when i pulled the fuses. the initial higher draw is owing to the dome lamps coming in when the battery...

trouble isolating short circuit 2002 s60

Re: detached vacuum hose

Dummy that i am i didn't get the code, just the associated description - didn't reach operating temperature - or something close to that. Also paid through the nose for the diag only to find out later that Autozone woul...

Re: detached vacuum hose

Thanks skeeter. I found the control but it did have a hose connected; possibly the other line from the filter box - couldn't easily trace it. saga continues...

Re: detached vacuum hose

Jimmy,
Thanks for the quick reply.
There are two hoses and the circled L connector is the one further into the compartment. The gray hard line is actually the dangling hose but does not show the end. poor illustration on my part.

detached vacuum hose

2002 S60 non turbo. one of the two narrow vacuum (i assume) hoses coming off of the air filter enclosure dangling loose near the radiator shroud. Coincidently there is a solenoid looking device on the shroud that looks like it's missing a hose. I'm hoping someone can tell me sort out what should be ...
