Re: Trim Molding Restoration

I used a heat gun. Do a youtube search for a video of it that someone else did. Slightly melts the trim to make is dark and shiny like it was new.

Rear lower window molding replacement

Anybody know a trick to clean out the remains of the old trim piece and black adhesive enough to put the new one in? If I have to I will pull out the window and then glue it back in. I would like to just cut out what I need to fit in the new molding piece but with the glass recessed a bit it is hard...

Front Motor Mount confusion

I own a 97 850 t5 wagon with the broken motor mount shown in the picture. When I go to Groton or IPD both websites say this style mount is only used on the 94-95 850'sand there is a different style for the 96-97. My VIN says this is definitely a 97 (10th digit is a V) and the engine looks original. ...

Re: 850 Glt, 1995, MAF sensor and Solenoid problem

https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6941 Look at the second diagram. It shows more vacuum hoses. There are 2 that come off the intake manifold just after the throttle body. One goes to the purge valve. There is a tree off where the idle air control valve is by the throttle body....

Re: 850 Glt, 1995, MAF sensor and Solenoid problem

One quick question. How old are your vacuum lines? If they are original they may be leaking and causing the misfire and MAF issues. Basically your engine is taking in air that the MAF does not know about. As a result you are not getting enough fuel to go with all that extra air. Causes hesitation an...

Update on Stylin' Motors order

I e-mailed on Monday and heard back on Wednesday. They are out of some of the tubing. Sounded like they should have some in stock on Friday. Hopefully that happens. Still irks me a little that some sort of backorder notice or something wasn't sent.

Vacuum Hose Replacement

Anybody done the complete rubber to silicone vacuum hose replacement? With Stylin' Motors flaking out I need to order my tubing by the foot. I do not know how much to order. The smaller stuff is pretty cheap so I can overestimate that but I need a better idea for the 6mm and 8mm lengths needed.

stylin' motors, any problems?

I ordered the 850 stylin' kit on wednesday of last week but haven't heard a peep from them after the order acknowledgement e-mail. Has anyone else who's dealt with them seen slow turnarounds? Maybe I am just used to FCP Groton and IPD and their quick response but I thought I would see something by F...
