they don't flash because there's an area that hasn't been secured/monitored.

Putting another one in is asking for trouble. People have been prosecuted before now for doing this, as it masks the brake lights.

The Fog lights on the S60 arn't exactly practical, they are pretty pathetic.

I prefer to adjust the dipped beam height if I get reflection off fog/snow etc
makes a big difference.

Changing the bulbs will make a big difference though - but aye as said don't exceed the wattage.

Could also look at getting blinds for the rear and rear side windows.
Volvo produce them specifically designed for the S60 - and they have the added extra of looking like tints - and keep the car cool - unlike actual tints where the interior will cook. I went down the blind route and they look great ...

If you plan to keep for 15 years etc..forget the dealers..find a good independant garage, easily half the costs for the same service - with original parts.

It doesn't warn you because - a vast majority of people don't like the DRL's - but they are a proven safety feature; so alot of people would turn the DRL's off and use the 'parking lights'/sidelights - safe in the knowlege that you'd get a warning that you'd left them on - hence..no warning...so ...
