Yep, did all the disconnect, discharge, lock and unlock stuff.
Installed a new immobiliser antenna ring on the ignition today and no difference.

Is there an immobiliser module somewhere that may need replacing?

It would appear the issue is the gear position sensor (it is an auto). If I row the gear lever back and forth a few times and then leave it in P or N it will start.

G'day, I have an automatic 2002 V40 that is giving me some grief - actually a lot of grief but I am only going to raise one of the issues at the moment. :) The car has 150,000 km on it. At times while driving at a steady speed (could be anywhere between 60 kmh and 120 kmh) the car starts to struggle...

Have been trying to read codes but my scanner doesn't want to talk to the S70. Scanner talks fine to my V40 but comes back with a Link Error when I connect it up to the S70.

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions based on the details provided so far?

Well, I haven't read the codes yet but no CEL or other indicators suggesting I need to check the codes. Will check the codes and post if I find anything.

It does run a little longer with some carb/throttle body cleaner it in.
