Re: 2000 C70 dash removal repair
Hello, I have used Plastex (www.plastex.net) to fix and reinforce a dash I bought from a junkyard. This material consist of a powder and a liquid activator that works on ABS plastic. A re-usable rubber is also provided to create mold of the part you want to fix. Once it dries up, it appears to have ...

Re: Dashboard Mount Repair - Version 2.0
Hello Lee, your threads on the dashboard mount has been very helpful to me, especially on the dismantling and assembling process. I found an alternative method to rebuild the S70 ABS plastic dashboard tabs by using Plastex. The basic kit contains some bottles of powder with liquid. The thing I find ...

Re: door panel delamination
Not sure what the creamy colour glue is. On my panel, whatever attached by it failed. Previous owner used heat transparent glue that made a mess and couldn't hold. He also used black rubber material like plasticine. The hotter the surroundings, the softer it becomes. It was a total mess until I clea...

Re: door panel delamination
Hello januwan, I had the same problem with my S70 on all four door panels. I used slow drying epoxy 1:1 mix. Firstly, spread them thin and used laundry clips. For larger areas, I used carton cut outs and clamp/sandwich them together. Leave to dry overnight or longer. Also, the black plastic that hol...

Re: Removing Driver Window Regulator at Junk Yard
Dear cn90, use warcraftjunkie's method to lower the window halfway till you see part of the "window regulator mechanism pivot" from the inside of the door. try removing the U-shaped metal pin locking the pivot with a flat screw driver. if that doesn't work, you'll have to use some force to...

Re: Rear fog light not working cf antenna down switch
I checked my fuse again and actually found that fuse 25 was empty on the list. Fuse 02 shows "fog light, f.l. indicator". Anyhow went ahead and put a 10A into fuse 25 and the fog light actually works. I may have left it out the last time before the antenna job and it shows that my fuse box...

Re: Rear fog light not working cf antenna down switch
I actually had your post printed out as part of the "homework". I have spliced (triple junction) as per instruction especially the pink and the black (this is ground based on Haynes's wiring diagram). Antenna wire is the Blue/White. I just couldn't understand how can the antenna switch wor...

Rear fog light not working cf antenna down switch
I used an extra rear foglight to make an antenna down switch based on the old post by PCars and a few others. It works and it's great. HOWEVER, my original rear foglight is not working anymore after the job. It illuminates with the rest of the dash switches but the bulb at the rear doesn't light lig...

Re: Part identification help needed
Dear KlubMarcus,
I went through some vacuum hose diagrams but still no luck in locating the mysterious part. Any how will go about looking at the car again. Surprisingly (touch wood), the car has been running fine so far without it for months. Many thanks.

Part identification help needed
I found this small rubber part on the floor of my porch some time ago. It was somewhere between the rear wheel passenger and the boot antenna side (mine is a RH drive). The grey plastic was already disintegrated and it was dry (no oil nor liquid). This grey plastic is small a funnel leading into thi...
