Re: 98 S70 T5-M; will not go into any gears

What is a slave cylinder and where can I locate it to check for any leaks?

Re: 98 S70 T5-M; will not go into any gears

The clutch padel goes all the way to the floor (no resistance).
The brake fluid is max line (but I think I have a leak). I used to have to add brake fluid every two weeks of driving (M-F) work only.

Normal driving, work (M-F).

Re: S70 T5 Timing Belt Job OFF

"Just a click sound"; sounds like a weak battery. I hope your alignment is not off, otherwise you must correct that first while the battery is being charged.

Re: Lowering Suspension

jcmahoney,

If you plan on lowering your car without much more stiffness, then I recommend H&R sports springs. You did not mention replacing your struts/shocks. Look into the different setups before you make your finally investment.

Turbos; T18 vs T19 and other components

I am in the process of upgrading my engine from mostly stock to performance. I need advice on whether to use a T18 or T19. Also, what downpipe should be used; angle or straight flange? I also planned to upgrade my ECU and possible a water/meth setup. Do I need to change the fuel injectors too? Curre...

Re: New Koni Sports + IPD Springs. 850. Seeking experience.

IG, I would ask the guys at volvospeed.com, but my experience and issue with Koni FSDs and IPD Sports springs was the lost of comfort (not a good suspension setup). If were me with your setup, I would choose the soft version on all four corners for a couple hundred miles before I'd go mid-to-hard ra...

Re: 2000 V70 Cooling Fan Not Working, Possible ECT Fail

Same symptoms I've had in the past six months, so I replaced my ECT, thermostat, drained and added new coolant...it works fine. My last waring given is when it did finally start, the coolant temperature gauge went from normal-hot-cold on my way to work. I turned around and shut her down till I got h...

Re: '99 S70 - Power Antenna Travel

It should be flush. I have replaced mine three times since 1998, and have learned the teeth must be set inside the mechanical gear housing perfectly. What I did is open the gear casing, insert the antenna end until it reached the gear to catch. Re-attach the gear case, connect the wiring, turn on th...
