There is a series of three steel cable lines that run the accelerator. I tried to put them back together since the clip came off. Some how i can not get it to coil back up correctly. ANYONE have any suggestions as how to put this back together? The way it is now slips back off and runs funny.

Here is one solution of many.....Go to the hardware store and pick up " Navel Jelly " follow instructions carefully, it's about 10$ for a bottle. This will stop and prevent additional rust and gives you a paint-able surface. Fill in the rest with automotive" Bondo" By the way you...
