Re: 2004 XC90 T6 door chime and courtesy lights come on when left turn signaling

Thanks cuhfs for your help and quick response.
I will test the the DDM driver door module tomorrow, but it seems like that's what it is
according to the link you sent me.
As soon as I find out I will repost so that others can correct this issue.

I have been having an issue with my courtesy lights coming on and door chime when signaling left. My driver side window does not roll down also. any ideas? I have bought a new motor for the window but it still didn't fix the window problem. This happened after the first year that I bought the car fr...

Re: Transmission Problems

I have a 2004 XC90 T6 and am finding out that transmission problems are very common in the T6's. I so far have not had any failures at 130,000 mi. and would like to ask if anyone has done a transmission flush on the t6's? Is there a cheaper way than to buy the ATF from the dealer which costs more $$...

Re: Dashboard Switch Lights LED Conversion DIY...

Looks like I didn't turn the led all the way inside the socket. They look great! Thanks for having posted this cool upgrade!

Re: Dashboard Switch Lights LED Conversion DIY...

Just wanted to post a correction. I was only able to get a 480 Ohm resistor to solder on to the leg. I couldn't find any 470 Ohm res.

Re: Dashboard Switch Lights LED Conversion DIY...

I know that it's been April 12th since the last post but, I am finally attempting to do this DIY on the bulbs and for some reason did not work for me. I used a T1 size low intensity 3 volt red LED with a 470 Ohm resistor (I couldn't find a 470 Ohm res.) Is there something that you guys might think o...

Re: Front dash speaker don't work on 1995 850

Removing the grills was pretty easy. Thanks guys once again.
And Lee, you know your stuff. The speaker magnets had separated from both sides! This speaker repair was
a fairly easy task to accomplish with a leatherman.

Re: Front dash speaker don't work on 1995 850

Thanks Lee and Urbex. I will try this today this evening. It's nice today and family want's to take a jaunt to the mountains. I thought I would have to pry the vents on either side of the dash to get to them.

Front dash speaker don't work on 1995 850

1995 850 turbo wagon speakers don't work on the dashboard. I bought this car as a fixeruper. I know there are speakers on the dashboard but don't know how to get to them, short of removing the whole dashboard. Does anyone know how to get to them? Maybe through the vents on the dashboard? My wife has...

Re: Slow start when cranked

Got the starter put back together and started like a champ. Thanks for the tip Pauloil. Found the link for the voltage drop pdf. It is a good question why the starter went belly up. I used to have a 240 Turbo that had a bad starter and man was it a whole lot easier to replace (the starter). It was l...
