If it's anything like my 1999 S70 (which it should be) look at the base of the seatback (from the back seat). There will be two little levers, one on each side. If you lift both at the same time you should be able to fold the seatback all the way forward. Just be sure to slide the whole seat far eno...

Weird. Mine works perfectly. The volume increases at 50 Km/h, 70ish Km/h and then 120 Km/h if I remember correctly. It's all in the owner's manual. As long as the ASC light is coming on this should work. It is subtle though when you reach higher speeds...

I would think your struts are failing. They can be replaced very easily. A couple of clips and voila.

I don't think you have a choice but to goto Volvo and get the remotes reprogrammed. I hear it's not cheap so let us know what the damage is if you go this route.

Volgrr, Thanks for weighing in. I do take the car out for a spin to blow off the remaining water and dry out the brakes. I try to get the parking brake dry by applying it lightly as I come to a stop sign. I generally never use the parking brake when the car is parked in the garage as I would like to...

I don't know what model of Volvo you are driving but I have found the parking brakes on my 1999 S70 to be very problematic. Let's say I wash my car and then take it out for a "drying cycle" and then park it for the night. When I get in it the next day and try to back out of my garage I eit...

So here is an idea... Pour some dyed water through the sunroof drain holes and see where it comes out. On my S70 there are drain holes for the trunk but they are located off the left where the antenna drain holes are.

The "Gross EVAP system leak" code is generally bogus and is part of owning an S/V70 unfortunately. That code is the reason I bought an OBDII reader... Volvo knows about it and it seems they love to charge the $100 CDN it costs to reset the CEL when this is cause. I would look and see if th...

Well my 1999 non-turbo s70 has plenty of power. It may have to drop down a gear to get it though. Even after the ETM recall which did seem to change things. As you have a 1998 you don't need to worry about the ETM. I would look at the fuel/air filters and test to be sure there is sufficient fuel pre...

It is most likely the sensor that tells the central alarm that the hood is closed and the alarm can be set. Similar to the hood pins common with high end car alarms like Clifford. I bet if you disconnet it you will not be able to get the alarm to come on.
