Hi all. Starting a new topic now that we've narrowed down the problem to the fuel pump.
We're replacing this pump through the hole that is in the back of the c70 trunk.
Unbolted and removed plate. Finally got the black ring off (hammer flat head counter clockwise until it loosens up some..not easy ...

so we've got the new pump (bought used from VoluParts, an awesome shop in Atlanta) and after lot of work, Marc got the two lines undone and the horrible black ring off. all is ready to come out BUT the electrical is connected behind a panel, behind another electrical piece in the back of the trunk ...

Dealership said fuel pressure should not be below 200 kpa on my Volvo C70 Turbo (2001), with car key in position II (not started).
Bought a fuel pressure gauge ($34, ugh) and tested.
Results: app. 150 kpa and holding there.
Does this mean new fuel pump?

We can't get the car started again with wd-40 so haven't been able to add the Techron or do the injector cleaning. We're considering replacing the fuel pump/filter this weekend.

Running low on cash now. Think that's a good idea?

Any tips or leads on how to change the fuel pump/filter on a volvo ...

If we insert the aluminum in the bad coil and it sparks, can we plug it in and let it operate like that?

#1 - spark from bottom and middle (original coil)
#2 - NO spark (original coil)
#3 - spark from middle, not bottom (new coil, coil is far down in the the rubber..not close to bottom)
#4 - spark from middle, not bottom (new coil, coil is far down in the the rubber..not close to bottom)
