When I brake the at a low speed a metal to metal squeal can be heard from the back passenger side of the car. Further, when I accelerate from a stop or near stop, the squeal continues momentarily. The squeal does not happen all of the time.

Thanks so much for the great help. Is changing the timing belt a job the average Joe can do. I found some good instructions from the UK on line. I worked on a lot of cars when I was young, but it has been awhile. Great suggestion to go to AutoZone for the diagnostics.
