Not running fine anymore. I was suspecting the Catalytic converter, but I assume that a bad cat doesn't work ok part of the time. Now I'm starting to wonder if the front fuel pump isn't going out. Also, took out the heater gizmo on the fire wall and bypassed it. Still no heat. WAA?

Replaced my fuel relay and the problem dissapeared! $21 at NAPA

Took the fuel filter out and blew it out with compressed air. Took it for a drive and everything seems to be fine. Must've sucked up some junk when the fuel tank was low. Changed my thermostat, but still no heat. If it was my heater core I would expect the typical coolant dump, but none so far. All ...

Also, now that I think about it, the heat stopped working two days ago. Related?

Weird idle issues could also be due to a Fuel Pump Relay going bad. I got mine at NAPA for $24. The FPR is located behind the fuse box. My '91 740 turbo wagon was dying randomly until I replaced the FPR. Good luck!

My '91 740 turbo wagon is doing the same thing! Just started out of the blue. My question is this: Can fuel relays "go bad" over time, or do they just quit working all-together. I don't want to start replacing everything on this car one part at a time until I find the problem.
