Your going to be looking VERY small black hairline cracks in the plastic at the top of the coil, my t5 was having the same issue with no codes and I changed everything you did as well but nothing was working. Try the SCOSCHE transmitter found in the automotive dept at wal-mart. It has no distortion like all the digital fm transmitters, It works great and is far cheaper than a new radio at only 15 dollars.

You did not get into your brake job much but the bottom line is if you paid for new pads/rotor work and your brakes sound worse and do not work properly than bring it back. I promise you your car does not require rotor lube.

I just went through the very same thing in my 2001 T5, the car would accelerate poorly when I stomped on it but was fine when driven normal. I had hairline cracks in the plastic on the coils, it happens over time from the heat under your hood. Check your ignition, good luck.

New coils in and she runs perfect, no more CEL and hesitation is gone!!. Upon close inspection 2 of my old coils had hairline cracks and that was the problem. Its nice to have it running 100% again ,thanks MVS.

We just finished an 855 and diconnecting the mount to lift the motor works out mint. It was my third TB (first volvo) and I would do it again anyday with this info. It took us 6 hrs but next time it will only be 3.Thanks for the great tips.

my 2001 t5 just started a strange hesitation that comes in waves when I accelerate hard and the check engine light flashes but does not stay on. I have changed the plugs, turbo control valve and fuel filter (all oem) with no results. Anyone else had this problem?
