The first mechanic mentioned that he checked for codes but they didn't tell him anything-he is a foreign car mechanic but not specifically a Volvo mechanic. I should probably just take it to Volvo.

Thanks for the suggestion on the pressure sensor. Is that a sensor that can easily be replaced? It would be great if I could do it myself.

The gas mileage seems to be fine. I will ask the mechanic about he codes. I thought that the sensor was the problem and it seemed to fix the problem temporarily....it was frustrating to hear the fan turn on and stay on again! Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks for the help. Nobody has unplugged the battery yet...do you think that would help the Cooling Fan Module reset itself? I was hoping to have the problem fixed without having to take the car to the dealer but if that is the only solution i will have to. Thanks!
