I did some research and found instructions on how to do it
I need the mounting plate 999 5971. I will just make it myself
But then i need balancing clamps. Any idea where i can get them? Or how can I balance it without those clamps?
You are on the right track with this. Measuring the runout is ...

This is what I got as far as the belt routing:
Which one is the melted pulley? I know I have a good idler pulley and I can check for others.

Hi Neil, she is a typical NYC car as far the bumper damage. Agreed on the color, very pretty and not common.scot850 wrote: 01 May 2026, 08:13 How on earth do you damage the front and rear bumpers like that? I do like the color and glad she will eventually find a new home.

Re: I always thought leather seats were tougher than cloth
Pavel, you can remove the skin from a good seat and put it onto your frame with an air bag. I thought all p80 Volvos had sideairbag, with only a change in design between 1998 and 1999? Needs verifying.
If I remember right, side airbags became standard on 850's in 96', before that they were ...

Awesome. Too bad I didn't see this sooner, I would have told my daughter and boyfriend. She has the 05' XC70 and he has the 96' 850.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
KAE are normally to be avoided due to poor lifetime/quality.
Heck, worth a shot based on the price of a blue box part! Please keep us updated as perhaps they have improved the quality of their part which would be great news! Thanks.
Neil.
Thanks Neil!
I did not know this about KAE, never ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
I had an intermittent long crank situation in my 98' S70 5-speed and decided to replace the fuel pump relay. The prices for the OEM relays have gone through the roof (FCP lists it for $209 now), so I decided to get a KAE one at $32.
