Tan leather interior. Driver's seat has a wear through area on the leather. Passenger seat cushions are fine. I'll post pics in a minute. Has a very nice leather steering wheel I just put on right before she wrecked it as well.

WTB: '96 or '97 Wagon with blown motor in Florida
Hi all, I'm going to take one last shot to find a '96 or '97 Wagon body in Florida. I have a wagon that's been in a wreck in very good mechanical condition that I'd like to swap into a good body. Let me know what you have. I'm in Martin County, FL

Part out '97 850 base Wagon with only 75k miles
My daughter decided to see how safe Volvos are by pulling out in front of a minivan after I spent over 5k on the car and only drove it for 3 months. I have given up trying to find a decent car with a blown motor in my local area to do a swap, so I've decided to get rid of it. I'm heartbroken but gla...

Re: How much should I offer for a busted v70?
Well, went to look at it today. The motor is shot, it has 208k miles, and the interior is ruined. Needs more love than I'm willing to give it. I'm going to keep looking.

Re: How much should I offer for a busted v70?
The guy is supposedly a truck mechanic, and Swedish too. He lives in an apartment and doesn't have the money or time to fix it. He knows how tough a head gasket job can be, so I'm pretty sure we can agree on a reasonable price.

Re: 850 leaking tranmission fluid - which seal do I need?
Probably just the torque converter seal. Not sure what it's called on this car. The car took a 50mph hit to the drivers side front, directly to the top of the wheel. Axle seals aren't leaking, so it's got to be the oil pump/torque converter seal.

Re: How much should I offer for a busted v70?
He say's it's "driveable". I was thinking of bypassing the heater core, filling it with water and some sodium silicate (aka "water glass" or head gasket sealer) and seeing how far I can drive it before she blows. I have AAA plus, which is good for a 100 mile tow. . . I'm going no...

Re: How much should I offer for a busted v70?
OK, so KBB says the car is worth 3200, I've been told 1800 for a head gasket repair or 800 labor plus 500 for a good used engine. I'm still in over 1200 bucks with that math. . . Even if I include a 90 mile tow and my travel costs to go look at it. Hmmm

850 leaking tranmission fluid - which seal do I need?
Just looked under my daughters wrecked 850, and the transmission is leaking fluid from the weep hole in the bell housing. What seal could have given up? It's drivable, and shifts fine with no issues. I want to order new seals prior to my engine swap.

Re: How much should I offer for a busted v70?
Ok. I need to call the guy and arrange a meeting time. It's an hour and a half drive just to go look at it. Don't want to waste my time. Good thing is, with a good engine and transmission in my inventory, I can wait it out for the right car if this one doesn't work out.
