i bought car at 92k. shifted very nicely. smooth and no clunks, unlike my wife's 2 v70's (2001's). at 122k it started a rough acceleration in 2nd -- trans, not motor. it would smooth out though, and i don't drive it hard. then, 124k, coming around a curve, my rpm's shot up and trans warning lights ...

thanks jimmy -- i'm only familiar with old gm muscle car torque converters -- does it not bolt to the flywheel and is independent of the transmission? in other words, would i not keep my torque converter and just replace the transmission??

i need to replace my transmission. i've found a trans for a non-turbo at a good price. mine is a turbo. i understand bell-housing is different? is bell-housing on these tranny's exchangable? or do i have to find a transmission for a turbo, like mine?
