My car is a little different under the hood than yours, so I am not 100% sure, but I believe that is the switch to the brake booster vacuum assist pump. If it is, you're certainly missing a few parts..... :o

After looking though a bunch of threads, I think this may be the brake booster switch. The only thing is I don't see a harness that would connect to this and the brake booster switch has a socket on top.

Dealership thinks I need a new CEM but from looking through forums, everybody else seems to think this is a DIM issue. Not sure what to do. I certainly don't want to pay for a new CEM just to find out I needed a DIM.

Why would the DIM module cause the issues that felt like the transmission (i.e. the thump feeling)? Does it not just control the dashboard controls?
