Re: 2000 S80 CEM corrupt KEYS lost

I just thought of something, there's a smaller EEPROM on the ECM that has the immo + key stuff (I think...). It's stored on a physically separate chip than the maps you can read it in bootmode, I'm sorry but all the details are escaping me now, I will have to take a look at my saved stuff since it's...

Re: 2000 S80 CEM corrupt KEYS lost

Do you have a block of 00 00 00 00 that you can reverse-engineer the checksum from? I'm trying to think back to when I was doing this. I remember the checksum being pretty simple & based on row number somehow I don't think you will find a virgin full flash anywhere. Anyone who has that can make ...

Re: 2000 S80: Under Engine Protection Pan

Sometimes people just take them off and never put them back on. They're pretty durable, mine (from a 2000 also) doesn't seem to have cracks or anything, but it is plastic so I'm sure it's possible to just rip it off accidentally Don't quote me on this but I *believe* IPD might have an aluminum pan t...

Pretty beat up, some interior trim is missing and there are a couple dents. It's just the grey cloth interior , no tears in the seats/carpet/headliner. I will have to get some more pics of the interior when I get a chance, this is just what I had saved: http://i.imgur.com/M73N34o.jpg?1 http://i.imgu...

FS: 1998 V70 2.4 na 5 speed as is $900 - MA

200k on the clock good: MAF at 170k clutch at 170k timing belt, water pump, cam seals at 190k no rust, no accidents bad: pant is getting bad will probably need some things to pass inspection (it passed this year because there was no emissions test) - cat (has a hole in it) - front o2 sensor - SAS de...

Re: 2001 S80 2.9 Transmission Fluid Change @197k

yeah from what I understand flushing can stir up dirt and make it go places where it will cause trouble. I did a pan drop to change my fluid @ 110k just because I wanted to change the filter too. But I think there's an easier way that involves disconnecting the cooler lines and pumping fresh fluid i...

Re: 00 s80 grinding/noise at 30 - 60 mph

I just removed the axle bolt and 2 strut bolts and tapped it out. I had enough room to do everything (even fit an impact wrench in to get the hub bolts out) without removing the ball joint or tie rod

Re: 00 s80 grinding/noise at 30 - 60 mph

yep it was the right wheel bearing. I popped the axles out on both sides and rotated the bearings by hand & the right one felt like it was full of dirt.
