Re: 96 850 GLT N/A Heat only on one side

Temperature is in degrees, so electronic. Since you have a '96, without the code readings that come from a Volvo Scan Tool, the best we can do is guess but the problems are usually the same. Chances are you have either a bad damper flap motor or the shaft split on the damper flap where the motor pl...

96 850 GLT N/A Heat only on one side

I am having an issue with my 96 850 GLT N/A. As the subject states, I am having an issue where only one side of the car is getting heat. The two vents on the immediate driver's side still blow hot air, but the two center vents and the passenger's vent do not. Same goes for defrosting, too... only dr...

volvo 850 low coolant light, bumpy ride.

have an 850glt with 176k. Was driving on the freeway, noticed that my car was vibrating quite a bit. One of my shocks is broken so I figured it was a minor suspension problem and kept going. 40 miles later, the car started feeling really sluggish and whenever I attempted to accelerate, the low coola...

Re: 850GLT Exhaust Failure (URGENT)

Anybody? I've seen that these codes may be due to hose leaks. I've heard descriptions of a particular elbow joint in particular, but I cannot form a mental picture of where it is. Can anybody help me out with a picture? If I do end up replacing the Oxygen sensors, I've seen that people here seem to ...

Re: 850GLT Exhaust Failure (URGENT)

So I had the codes read today. Yes, there are two... Before the failure there was one. P0133 and P0140. Should I disconnect the battery for awhile? Else, what could this be?

Odometer Gear (Fixed)
A/C Receiver/Drier (Still Broken)

Re: 850GLT Exhaust Failure (URGENT)

I had the thing towed to a Midas on Saturday morning, and he replaced the CAT and all pipes from the engine and to the muffler for $750 (aftermarket CAT). He cleared the code. On the way home from the shop, I noticed some "burning" smell and a little bit of white smoke coming from where th...

Re: 850GLT Exhaust Failure (URGENT)

It seems like the best option is to have Midas do a temporary patch until I can figure out which aftermarket Cat I can get, if that is the problem. Which ones would work with my car?

850GLT Exhaust Failure (URGENT)

Hello all, I have an 850 GLT with 174k miles on it. A couple of weeks ago I got a check engine light with the code for a slow to respond O2 sensor, but since I am short on cash (soon to be shorter) and my gas mileage was fine, I ignored it. On my way home last night, I hit a bump, and immediately so...
