I swapped the coil with other cylinders and it fired. I determined this by pulling the coil pack from the installed plug and inserting a spare plug into the coil and grounding the plug. When the engine was cranking a spark was noticed on all cylinders but the #5.

my 04 xc90 with 2.9 T6 is missfiring. although all coil packs check out --the # 5 coil is not receiving a signal to fire. The spark plug shows no signs of being wet so I do not believe the injector is working either. I was told the injector and the coil are separate issues. I hope it is not the ECU....
