The drive shaft is in the back of my car wrapped in plastic. What on earth am I supposed to do with it???

So how much should it cost to replace the drive shaft? It isn't something I can do myself. I know what the dealer quoted but would it be more economical to find another shop?

This is the noise I was getting with my '99 that turned out to be a completely clogged PCV system which had to be replaced. Apparently it's a common symptom. Something to think about.
