Re: S80 2001 Auto Dimming Rearview Mirror Repair How To (lon
I'll second the info on the 2006 mirror. The one I obtained to R&R the lava-light mirror in my 2004 had the 4 small pieces of foam along with 4 small clips securing the UEM to a plastic back which was secured to the mirror glass. Much easier to work with. Considering the 2006 mirrors use the gel...

Re: Need quick V70/C70 transmission swap advice
Understand, and very good thought. We did go through the procedure of disconnecting the shifter early on to check, it was still acting up with the same symptoms. It's definitely a problem inside the tranny. It's almost like the unit is bent internally somehow, as long as backpressure is held in reve...

Re: Need quick V70/C70 transmission swap advice
Pretty much the same motor. The 04 C70 donor car is a high pressure turbo version (2.3), same as my T5 (2.3). I'm really hoping this is a bolt-n-go type application, but even the Hollander database at the parts vendor didn't list a V70 interchange. I'm stumped.

Re: Need quick V70/C70 transmission swap advice
OK, more information. The current transmission in my car is a M56LK (2004 V70 T5) with p/n 9482209, the proposed swap tranny is a M56HK from a 2004 C70 with p/n 9482122. Other then the differences between the final drive ratio and the different ratios between 1st and 2nd gear, are there any major sh...

Need quick V70/C70 transmission swap advice
OK, it looks like my M56 tranny in my 2004 V70 T5 is hosed beyond local repair capabilities. Forward drive gears are fine, however going into reverse the car may hop out of gear and the gears will grind unless the shifter is held into reverse with backpressure on the gear lever while the gear is eng...

Re: M56 shifting issue
The clutch techniques don't seem to make a difference. It's almost like there is a physical issue with the shifter being out of tolerance or possibly something might be bent. Weird.....

M56 shifting issue
Howdy! I've got a 2004 V70 T5 with around 93K miles, M56 manual transmission. I've had intermittent issues last several days with getting the transmission to go into reverse. Seems that it doesn't want to drop into reverse all the time, depressing the clutch and then shifting into R occasionally bri...

Re: Stalling without warning - 2004 V70 T5
OK, preliminary from my Volvo shop is that it looks like a bad fuel pump. I had the car towed in to the Volvo shop that I use this morning, naturally it was running fine(!) coming off the rollback. The tech put a fuel pressure meter on the schrader valve at the fuel rail and saw constant 63 PSI.... ...

Re: 2001 S40 electrical gremlins - Please help
Hi Mike I've had a 2002 V40 for about 3 1/2 years now and I have the same possessed climate control issues. I've gone through two used circuit boards in an attempt to cure the problem to no avail. What has been reported on other forums is the problem is cold solder joints on the selectors themselves...

Re: Stalling without warning - 2004 V70 T5
Thanks Dave. I'm definitely suspecting something electric and computer related because of the way the lights on the DIC are behaving when the stalls occur. To me it looks just like the function test you get when you start the car. What I'm wondering is if the fuel pressure sensor going intermittent ...
