Re: 1997 Volvo 850 t5 Question regarding voltage regulators.

I just bought a Bosch VR for my wife's 2001 V70 from autopartswarehouse.com for $57.00 and free shipping. You may want to check them out for yours.

1994 850 warm/hot firing problem during start

I am trying to help my Dad get his "workhorse" daily driver repaired for him. It has left him stranded a few times lately. The car will not fire sometimes when it is very warm outside or after it has been running for a while. In the morning when it is cooler outside the car starts and runs...

Re: Help please - Advice on Multiple diagnostic codes

I know it's been quite a while but I was curious what was the outcome to get this corrected?

Re: S60 Electric system problem

Did you ever get your problem fixed? I'd recheck all the connections to be sure. I had the same symptoms on my wife's 2001 v70 2.4T. I just replaced the VR with a replacement Bosch and so far so good. It has only been a day but everything seems to be back to normal. I had taken off the entire altern...

Re: 2001 V70 2.4T - Rear electrical gremlins

Problem fixed! The info on this site saved us! I spliced the wires back together at the tailgate hinge and all seems to be back to normal. The wires were in really bad shape. I used wire ties to try and secure them to the metal hinge to minimize movement to the damaged area. I wonder if Volvo is rou...

Re: Need help! Rear electrical gremlins

Similar multiple problems may occur due to loss of ground. You want to inspect the grounding points for water ingress, loose/corroded terminals or broken wiring, recessed connector pins, etc. The wiring diagrams (available here on the forums) are pretty helpful to locate the points to look at. Rege...

Re: Need help! Rear electrical gremlins

My first place to look would be the wires in the tailgate hinge, a common failure point in cars. The other possibility is damage to the wires near the steering column (yes there is a lot of them). Which fuses were pulled and why? Many thanks RaymanSean for the reply! After scouring this site and a ...

2001 V70 2.4T - Rear electrical gremlins

My wife's 2001 V70 is experiencing the following strange electrical problems: The rear wiper will not stop working and the rear brake lights and reverse light will not go out. This even occurs with the ignition switch off. I tried pulling the fuses in the back panel with no luck. She misplaced the m...
