Re: Used radio code- V70- 2002
Heh guys. One last look at this. Can you take a quick look at this used radio I was thinking about buying on eBay? https://www.ebay.com/itm/406533527968?mkpid=0&emsid=e11051.m43.l1123&ch=osgood&euid=4f1d4ac4aa9a4ac9b349334a981e90f7&bu=44305434256&osub=-1%7E1&crd=2026022409193...

Re: Used radio code- V70- 2002
Thx much Neil.
Now I just need to make sure the seller has tested the used one for working order.

Re: Used radio code- V70- 2002
So br0dy519, you are saying that if I purchase a used radio to match my present old one (HU-613) I won't have to worry about it turning on when I plug it in?

Used radio code- V70- 2002
My radio went on the fritz after 223k miles and I found a used one (HU-613) on eBay but the speak of needing a code to make it work. Do I need to go to a Volvo dealer to get this code? Obviously the seller pulled this from a bunker and doesn't have the VIN.

Re: Knock Sensor replacement - 2002 V70 Base
Okay, thank you guys. I change the oil religiously every 5k miles whether it needs it or not. Just waiting for the outside temperature to get above 40 degrees for a few days in a row.

Is my engine what he is calling a "White Block" engine? Never heard of that term.

Re: Knock Sensor replacement - 2002 V70 Base
Thanks, Georgeandkira.
Not sure if it failed or not but I just pulled both a P0012 code (Cam Position sensor) and a P0328 code (Knock sensor).
This car now has 222k miles on her. I don't think I have ever replaced the PCV system yet.

Knock Sensor replacement - 2002 V70 Base
Just wondering after reading a few posts if I have to remove the manifold on my 2002 non-turbo v70 to replace the knock sensors?
It would seem there is a lot of extraneous things to remove before I can get to where I need to get to.
Might be a job for my mechanic.
