Anyone else seen this hose connection on an 850?

CEL. Car was purchased in California, so there may be extra emissions add ons. When the engine light went on, I checked under the hood and the hose had become disconnected via a dried out and crumbled elbow connector. I ran a diagnostic and sure enough it was an emission code. When I tried to fix it...

My Haynes book says nothing about this:

Does anyone know where this air filter vacuum hose nipple connects on the other side? I've traced and traced but can't find the other nipple connection.
