Re: 1997 850 T5 No Run/No Start, have tried the basics
The coolant system held pressure. I oiled the cylinders and it fired right up. However, the exhaust was still smoky and smelled like fuel. I'd say I am back to the status the car was at in January. I checked that the injectors were mechanically working again. They were. So now I am thinking that it ...

Re: 1997 850 T5 No Run/No Start, have tried the basics
The starts/idles were chuggy, I had to have the throttle way open to keep it idling. I agree the walls could be dry. I'll try the oil trick if the coolant sys holds pressure. Any easy way to determine if it is the radiator that has the breach? A bad radiator would be an easy one to fix.

January - Very cold weather start in January. Idle seemed normal, put the car in gear to find low power. Open hood ...

Re: oil collecting in lower intercooler hose
Same symptoms on my 1998 V70 AWD w/ 200,000 miles (turbo has 150,000). I first started noticing a wet oil pan and it seemed to be coming from the front of block area which led me to suspect the PCV system was clogged. I also noticed oil dripping directly from intercooler inlet hose.

Re: 1998 V70 AWD Remove and Replace Rear Left Engine Mount
I do not know the exact cause of the problem, but I would guess it would have happened as a result of being over stressed for too long.

1998 V70 AWD Remove and Replace Rear Left Engine Mount
Hello All,
I own a 1998 Volvo V70 AWD, and from what I've found this car has always seemed to be a little different from other V70's (for example the rear suspension is self leveling). Another difference, and the subject of this post, is the rear right engine mount. From what I have read and seen ...

Re: Step by Step - Replacing the starter motor 1998 S70
Very thorough step by step explanation, Tina! I wouldn't have been able to do it without your help.Several Notes: A new starter (Bosch) from the dealer doesnt have the studs for mounting the bracket. Instead, there are 2 flush mounted screws which look smaller in diameter than the studs. The ...
