Where are the windshield wiper relays located in my xc70?
The windshield wipers on my 2004 xc70 is doing weird things only on high speed. They move slow or stop randomly. It also happens when I use the intermittent mode but only when high speed kicks on. I replaced the relay in the fuse box under the hood but is there another one somewhere? I want to check...

If by stalk you mean the on\off etc. switch.....I pretty much ruled that out.

2004 xc70 windshield wiper troubles
My windshield wiper is suddenly malfunctioning. They work normally on low speed but on high speed sometimes they dont move at all or they run slowly and then stop mid windshield. I checked the black 5prong relay in the fuse box under the hood but I understand there is a red, 6 prong relay also? Wher...

Must have been another brian c in the forum at that time. however....I did have an 87 this past year with similar trouble. the car would die and not start back up. But then...

Re: Can pistons hit valves
thanks. I agree and you're most likely right about the belt being stretched allowing a little extra space between the marks. One other question: if these engines are auto adjusting as far as timing, as some have said, then why the other marks on the plastic cam sprocket cover? The ones showing degre...

Re: Can pistons hit valves
I took a shot of the cam marks. They look right to me but as you can see the intake is a little farther advanced than the exhaust. But after looking at it again I guess if I were off by one lug on the belt or one tooth it would be obvious. So if this is how it's supposed to look, what about the guys...

Re: Can pistons hit valves
thanks for the replies guys. I just now saw that there were several replies. Something haywire with my computer. I am assuming at this point that there is no valve damage.(and yes...I have oil in the engine) I may be wrong but I want to proceed from the assumption that I didn't damage the valves or ...

Re: Can pistons hit valves
Took a while to get that compression test done. My tester broke so I had to wait till I could get a friend to help me out. Anyway ...all cylinders look good. compression right up near 190 lb. on all 5. Ok so I don't think my belt slipped as much as I originally thought and I was spared the dreaded c...
