Re: Burning a LOT of coolant?
This is a lot of coolant disappearing with no trace. Are you sure it is a gallon every three days? Was it filled properly after the radiator job? The rad did burp for a day or two, and I had to top it up. But I replaced the rad about a month ago, and the disappearing coolant started about a week ago.

Re: Burning a LOT of coolant?
Every 2-3 days the coolant reservoir is empty. Every day I'm topping it up. By the third day, I've gone through a gallon jug.
There's no smell. No signs on the ground. No white smoke from the tailpipe. I'm completely stumped.

Re: Burning a LOT of coolant?
No white smoke. There are no obvious indicators as to where the coolant is going. I'm thinking a small hairline crack in the head/and or gasket. I'm also curious if the turbo could be eating that much coolant.

Burning a LOT of coolant?
So my '01 V70 2.4t was low on coolant last week. I started the car and got the Low coolant warning light. I looked, and sure enough the reservoir was just below the minimum line. I replaced the rad about a month ago, and since then, I hadn't lost any coolant, and I thought all was fine. So I topped ...

I have the same vehicle. I rarely hear the turbo. You can hear a T5 turbo, but ours is pretty quiet in stock form. You could also unplug the MAF, and drive the car and see what happens. You will get a CEL with the MAF being unplugged, but the car may run better, and then you will know the MAF is poo...

Re: Pulling code P1238 2001 v70 2.4t
I may be wrong, but I believe P1238 is the TCV. Turbo control valve.
Just google DTC P1238 volvo, and you will get lots of results.
Good luck.

Re: Just Bought - Volvo V70R, srs codes "control module miss
I see that your in Alberta. Since your grabbing at straws right now, might I suggest possibly calling the "volvo Doctor" as he calls himself. He is in Ontario, so obviously he cant work on the car, but all he works on are volvo's. He has helped me in the past with some problems on the phon...

Re: Cup Holder Problem
I bought a used one, as mine just had the empty storage "nook". I then youtube'd how to install it. It looks like a lot of work to install it, but its not. You do have to take the climate control out, and the radio, as the cupholder attaches to the radio.
Used I paid $20.

Tire Fitment help
I have searched through this forum, and it seems like a ton of of us have different tire sizes, and some rub with full wheel lock. I have a 01' V70 2.4T ( No tranny issues :D ) I recently finally got myself a set of pegs, and am considering what size tires to get. I did have a set of 17 t5 rims, wit...
