My (mis)Adventures with the BRAKE FAILURE-STOP SAFELY Message
It all started when my wife was going to run errands. She started our ‘07 XC-90 3.2L and immediately came and got me. ABS, anti-skid, brake, and the red triangle of doom were all lit along with the “Brake failure stop safely” message. I’ve never had this message appear before, so my first thought wa...

Re: Help with open loop fault.
Thanks for the information. I found the cause of my trouble. One of the POS converter’s (bank 1) catalyst disassembled itself and clogged the down stream converter. I pulled it off and looked inside and could see straight through. I know it was not a smart thing to buy cheap no name converters from ...

Re: Help with open loop fault.
It has 197500 miles on it. I’ve owned it for about 8 months. The guy I bought it from had the belts changed, new AC compressor installed, and I believe he told me the plugs were new too. Within a few days of acquiring it started throwing codes for threshold efficiency. I ended up buying some cheap c...

Help with open loop fault.
I have an ‘07 3.2L. I pulled out from a stop and accelerated and suddenly the car bogged down and started running rough. I got the “slow down or shift up” message then the CEL started flashing. After a moment it seemed to sort itself and the message cleared , but this scenario repeated several times...

Re: Radiator replacement-Only two bolts for condensor, bent
I would take it to a radiator shop and have it pressure tested. They may be able to straighten it out as well.

Re: 850 idling issues.
It's fixed! I checked the fuel pressure and is was 80psi. I checked the return line and vacuum line for clogs and they were ok. So I bought a new regulator. When I took the fuel rail off I found that one of the intake bolts was missing. I installed the regulator and replaced the bolt and now it idle...

Re: 850 idling issues.
Thanks for the idea. My line is routed slightly differently it comes from under the air box, goes behind the trans dipstick then to an elbow under the IAC. Anyhow I disconnected it, plugged the fitting and ran the car for about 10minutes. Nothing changed.

850 idling issues.
I'm having a problem with my wife's 1993 850 not idling and stalling in traffic. This has been going on since last summer and seems to be temperature sensitive. It only acts up when the ambient temp goes above the mid 60s. When it's cold out it runs fine. It was setting the dtc for intermittent rpm ...
