Re: Sunroof testing?

if you have no alarm sound then the siren module can be disconnected to see if the sunroof works. SIren module is on passenger side wheel wheel. You will need to remove the wheel well liner and its to the nose of the car. You will get an alert on the DIM for the first 5 seconds if its disconnected w...

Interesting.. I think i read before that you couldnt switch the mirror without taking it to the dealer to marry it? Glad it worked for you and I think I'll try the same thing since I dont have any fobs when i got the car. I have the same issue with the sunroof. Mine works 5% of the time. I did read ...

so your saying that the key fob (paired with the mirror from the S80 works on your XC after you replaced the mirror (UEM?)
or are you saying your original keyfobs work with the new mirror?

changed the hatch struts on the v70 They were leaking like a siv. Trim panels had sticky gunk on them. Took longer than the 20 minutes I thought it would take. The old ones would stay up around 80% of time.. 20% I would do the awkward use of my head to keep it up... lol

Replaced all motor mounts and torque mounts. The rear mount was a real pita. Now i get a very slight vibration in gear at a stop. Thinking of replacing the strut bar to make it perfect since that is the only part left. Also ordered lift gate struts since the current ones are real weak and worried ab...

I recently acquired a 2001 v70 t5 back in March with 100k miles. The price was right.. $0. Didnt need the car since I have another and got it because the previous owner knew I had Volvo's before. Thought I would update on this thread. The CE light went away and I didnt end up checking the timing belt at that time. I had a road trip of 3k km in July. Car was fine although good highway passing for a t5 sucked. For a long trip I got 9.3 l / 100km.. (around 25mpg ) for 100% highway. I've done th...
